Lake Village Takeaway is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor / Cook / Chef to lead our kitchen operations across busy weekend services. This is a hands-on senior role combining cooking leadership with operational oversight in a fast-paced takeaway environment.

This role suits an experienced cook or chef who enjoys leading from the front, mentoring others, and helping shape the future of a growing local business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and coordinating kitchen operations during weekend service

  • Working confidently across flat grills, fryers, and all kitchen stations

  • Supervising weekend shifts and supporting team rostering

  • Training and mentoring junior team members

  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering

  • Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met

  • Collaborating with management to improve processes and customer experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Strong skills on flat grill, fryer, and food preparation workflows

  • Ability to lead, organise, and motivate a team

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Availability to work weekends and nights

  • Current Food Handling Safety Certificate (required)
