We’re Hiring a Cafe Supervisor

Mock Orange is seeking an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on, floor-based role suited to a strong café all-rounder or senior barista ready to take the next step into management.

You’ll work alongside the team during service, supporting staff, maintaining standards, and helping the café run smoothly day to day.


About Us

Mock Orange is a locally owned café located at Lake Albert, Wagga Wagga. Nearly ten years since opening, we’ve become a key part of the region’s specialty coffee culture, serving over 80kg of coffee each week. Our vision is to improve communities one café at a time, and we’re proud of the culture we’ve built.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising shifts while actively working on the floor

  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages to Mock Orange standards

  • Delivering warm, efficient and consistent customer service

  • Supporting and guiding team members during busy periods

  • Assisting with training and mentoring junior staff

  • Ensuring cleanliness, organisation and smooth service flow

  • Handling opening and closing procedures and POS when required

  • Working closely with management to support daily operations and continuous improvement

  • Following Food Safety and Workplace Health & Safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a busy café or specialty coffee environment

  • Strong barista and customer service skills (essential)

  • Ability to stay organised and composed under pressure

  • Leadership experience or a clear desire to step into a supervisory role

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Positive attitude, professional presentation and strong work ethic

  • Australian work rights
