Mr Lawrence — part of the Shepley Group’s portfolio of community-focused venues — is looking for a passionate, experienced Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is a key role within a venue known for fresh, seasonal menus, locally sourced produce, and warm, welcoming hospitality.

What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering Quality Food, Every Service
Plan, prepare, and cook menu items to venue standards and recipes.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and wastage.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene at all times.
Supporting Daily Kitchen Operations
Supervise and train kitchen staff in preparation, presentation, and safe food handling.
Ensure compliance with all WHS and food safety regulations.
Assist with stock ordering, rotation, and inventory management.
Collaborate with management on new menu items and seasonal specials.

What We’re Looking For
Certificate III (or higher) in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility across weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
What We Offer
Full-time role (38 hours per week).
Salary of $74K–$80K + superannuation, depending on experience.
